What platform fees apply to a license purchase, and how much goes to the artist?

When you purchase a license on Patterned, most of your payment goes directly to the artist.

• Sales tax or VAT is added at checkout and paid by you. This does not reduce what the artist earns.
• Patterned takes a platform fee to keep our platform running! Those fees are:
  • Standard artists: 35%
  • Pro artists: 25%
• Pro Artists can reduce fees even further as their sales volume grows through our License Rewards Program.

Example breakdown

If a pattern license is listed at $100:

• You pay $100 + any applicable tax
• A standard artist receives $65
• A Pro artist receives $75
