What is custom licensing for artists?

Custom licensing lets invited brands ask you for something more than a standard license:

  • Same pattern, their terms. The brand wants a pattern as it is, but on its own terms: products, countries, how long and how exclusive.
  • An adapted pattern. The brand wants changes — for example a recolor, a new scale, a crop, a placement layout, or a vector version.
  • A commission. The brand wants a new pattern from a brief.

You answer with one offer and one price. Patterned writes the agreement, holds the brand's payment, and releases it to you when the brand accepts your files.

Your standard license settings and prices do not change.
