What is a pattern hold?

A hold keeps a pattern off the market while you decide.

When you request a custom license for an existing pattern, you can tick Ask the artist to hold this pattern. If the artist accepts, no other brand can license the pattern for 5 days.

• The artist can say no to the hold. That does not end your request.
• Other brands see "Another brand has this pattern on hold" and the date it is back on the market.
• Holds are not available for commissions, because there is no existing pattern to hold.
