How can I make a collection?

Creating a collection on Patterned is easy—and it’s a great way to organize your patterns by theme, color, or any style you choose.

Here’s how to get started:

1. Go to Your Profile

   From the main menu, click your profile icon and select your name

2. Click “Create Collection”

   Navigate to the collections tab and click "Create a Collection". Give it a title (e.g., “Floral Series” or “Geometric Neutrals”), and a description (optional), click Save.

3. Add Patterns to Your Collection

   Once your collection is created, you can add patterns to it by clicking the “+” (plus sign in a circle) in your newly created collection and selecting one of your patterns and “Add Selected Image” button in the bottom right.

4. Reorder and Edit

   Within a collection, you can rearrange the order of patterns or rename the collection anytime to better reflect your creative vision.

5. Visibility

   You can share your brand new collection with by utilizing an automatically generated custom link or make it available from your profile with public visibility. To make any collection publicly viewable, it must contain a minimum of 3 image blocks and a banner image.

Pro tip: Collections are a powerful way to tell a visual story. Many designers use them to pitch themed work to potential licensing partners or highlight seasonal content.
