Can I license patterns that are already licensed exclusively elsewhere?

No. If a design is already under an exclusive license outside of Patterned, you cannot offer it as an exclusive license on Patterned.

A few caveats do apply:

• If you have granted prior licenses for the design, you are required to fully disclose the scope of those licenses to any potential buyer on Patterned before offering an exclusive license on Patterned.
• Once an exclusive license is sold on Patterned, you must also remove that design from any other platforms where it is available.

✨ You may continue to display the design in your portfolio (on Patterned or on sites you fully own), but it cannot be offered for license or sale anywhere else once exclusivity has been granted.
